Corporate Engagement

Covenant House Georgia works with companies to develop volunteer opportunities that best suit the company’s and employees’ vision for community involvement. Below are a few way your company can help Covenant House Georgia give strength, courage and confidence to individuals experiencing homelessness.

1. Engage Your Employees through Volunteerism
Encourage your employees to join us as a group or individually to volunteer and help us make Covenant House a home for the youth who reside in our crisis shelter. Projects can include cooking a meal, landscaping, gardening, or simply throwing a party for our youth.

2. Sponsor a Special Event
Covenant House Georgia hosts several special events each year. Opportunities for sponsorship allow your company to receive recognition in the community and help Covenant House save more youth from the streets.

3. Encourage your Executives to Participate in our Sleep Out: Executive Edition
Each year in November, Covenant House hosts the Sleep Out, an event where executives raise money for and awareness about youth homelessness. The executives have an opportunity to meet our youth and hear their personal stories of heartbreak and hope. Then, armed with only card board boxes and sleeping bags, the executives spend a night outside to gain a better understanding of what it is like for our youth who slept outside before coming to Covenant House.

4. Become an Employment Partner
Our first goal is to get youth off the streets; our second goal is to set them up for a brighter future. In order for youth to make a successful transition out of homelessness it is imperative that they find sustainable employment. Join our other employment partners like Marriott Hotels and Chatham Landscaping to offer our residents interviews for jobs and paid internships.

5. Provide a Grant from Your Foundation
Covenant House Georgia is a 501(c)(3) and foundation grants support our mission to provide homeless youth with safe shelter and unconditional love. If your company has a foundation whose mission aligns with ours, we’d love the opportunity to apply for a grant.

We’re flexible! If there’s another way you want to get involved, we welcome the opportunity to speak with you about it. To develop the volunteer program that best suits your company or to arrange an opportunity for Covenant House Georgia to speak to your employees about our mission, please contact our Development Manager Georgia O'Farrell at gofarrell@covenanthouse.org.
