This season of love has inspired us to remind our female youth how special they are and with the help of Project Beauty Share, Social Media Influencer, ThaTaylaa, and four absolutely amazing stylists, we were able to do just that! Through this partnership we were provided thousands of donations of makeup, hair care products, and other beauty products that arrived to our shelter just in time to throw our special ladies a Galentine’s Glam Day! Our incredible volunteer stylists provided our resident female youth with makeovers using the donated products. Often, women experiencing homelessness don’t have access to makeup or hair products, simple items that can give dignity and confidence to anyone experiencing difficult times. Through these donations and volunteer stylists, we were able to empower our female residents by helping them look and feel their absolute best! We are so thankful to have had the support to remind our residents how beautiful they are, both inside and out.
This Galentine’s Glam Day was only possible through the #BeautyWishes2019 Campaign! Project Beauty Share and ThaTaylaa partnered with 5 different organizations throughout the United States to supply women experiencing homelessness with thousands of sponsored beauty products. Covenant House Georgia is thrilled to be chosen as one of the five organizations. Many of the most popular beauty brands on the market are sponsoring #BeautyWishes2019 by donating boxes and boxes of beauty products to each organization. These brands include beauty giants like ColourPop, CYO, L’Oreal Paris, Maybelline, Morphe, Native, Sigma, and Wet n Wild. We are so grateful for this initiative for helping our residents feel beautiful and empowered.
Now, we need YOUR help! While we were chosen to be 1 of the 5 organizations receiving products, one organization is going to be awarded a $10,000 grand prize! The organization that receives the most votes during a two week period will win the $10,000. Starting on February 15th at 9 PM EST and ending on March 1st at 9 PM EST, you can vote once per day for Covenant House Georgia to be the winner! We need your help not only to vote, but to spread the word to all your friends, family, and followers to vote for Covenant House Georgia.
