The Housekeeper for CHGA (Covenant House Georgia) performs custodial work in the buildings and throughout the CHGA campus, including indoor and outdoor duties as assigned.

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Covenant House Georgia reserves the right to unilaterally modify, remove, or add to any of the following:
In the Administration Building:
. Kitchen Area: clean counters/sink areas, microwave, stove top, toaster oven, coffee maker; sweep/mop floor
. Boardroom/Small Conference Room: shine table(s); vacuum floors; dust tables/cabinets/bookcases
. Bathrooms: clean counters/toilets/mirrors; refill paper goods
. Personal Office Spaces: vacuum rugs/dust wood floors; empty trash/replace liners; wipe off desk tops
. Foyer/Reception Area: dust magazine table and receptionist’s desk; vacuum rug area
. Middle Foyer Area: (outside Development and Program offices): vacuum rug and dust tables
Other CHGA facilities/grounds:
. Cleaning classrooms, bathrooms, hallways in the school building and gymnasium
. Wash floors, strip and wax floors in buildings and in gymnasium
. Monthly deep cleans in shelter and residential apartments/buildings
. Complete all lawn maintenance needs throughout campus
. Keep sidewalks and driveway clean; salting as needed in winter
. Assist in any campus clean-ups as needed
. Assists with inventory control on cleaning products
. Upholds Covenant House Georgia standards of conduct, policies and procedures at all times.
. Models appropriate, professional behavior for staff to establish and maintain superior services to youth in a safe and inviting atmosphere.
. Ensures that all buildings and surrounding areas are safe and free from any conditions that may cause harm or danger to youth, staff, volunteers, or visitors.
. Participates in other CHGA programs and activities as required.
. Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, representatives of other agencies, and the public.
. Effectively communicates, verbally and in writing, with both internal and external individuals and/or businesses.
. Responds in a timely manner to emergencies and resolve issues.
. Performs all other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma and five years’ experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
. Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
. Ability to work standing, walking, and/or sitting
. Able to lift 50 lbs.
. Ability to drive agency or personal vehicles to transport items and/or persons.
. Valid Georgia Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
. Ability to travel as needed for training or to fulfill job requirements.
