Sleep Out: Women Unite

July 25, 2019

Thank you Sleepers!

Join us in celebrating and thanking the strong women who gave up the comfort of their home for one night and raised over $65,000 in Covenant House Georgia's 5th annual Sleep Out: Women Unite! On March 6th, in the spirit of International Women's Day, 48 Atlanta women stood in solidarity with the youth at Covenant House Georgia and all youth experiencing homelessness by Sleeping Out.

4.2 million youth in America will face homelessness this year. According to a homeless youth count done by Georgia State University, there are 3,300 homeless youth in metro Atlanta alone. Thanks to our incredible supporters, like this year's Women Unite Sleepers, Covenant House Georgia served over 1,800 youth experiencing homelessness just last year.

We are much more than a shelter. We provide unconditional love and comprehensive support so that our youth can and will realize their fullest potential. In fact, seeing their potential is our greatest motivation. We are optimistic about the power of a stable, loving environment to inspire a fresh start in their lives. It is a privilege to support at-risk youth during some of their most formative years. We empower them to finish high school, start college, gain employment, live independently, and ultimately step out into the world knowing they are prepared to be successful. Covenant House provides these young people with safe shelter and wrap-around services, including education and job training, so they can move forward to an adulthood free of poverty and the threat of homelessness.

All of this is only made possible by our amazing supporters! Thank you for being a part of their journey.
