On a weekly basis, CHGA's street outreach team - which includes trained staff & current residents - searches areas where youth experiencing homelessness tend to hide. The outreach team provides these youth with food, information, and supplies, reaching around 500 young people per year. In addition, CHGA partners with homeless liaisons in the Metro Atlanta schools systems and open campus high schools to receive referrals for youth who are experiencing homelessness or have run away from home.
