Corporate volunteer groups play a vital role in supporting the young people at Covenant House Georgia. From team service days to employee giving initiatives and hands-on volunteer projects, your collective efforts help create meaningful moments of care, connection, and stability for young people experiencing homelessness.
Plan a hands-on volunteer experience by assembling outreach, hygiene, and mental health kits for young people experiencing homelessness. A CHGA team member can be on-site at your workplace to guide your process and ensure everything is packed accurately and efficiently.
Your team can help sort, organize, and maintain our on-campus clothing closet to ensure that our young people have easy access to clean, seasonally appropriate clothing (including clothing for job interviews) when they need it most.
Provide a sense of comfort and community by preparing and serving a meal for our young people. Corporate volunteers can cook on-site or bring prepared dishes, offering both nourishment and a chance to connect with CHGA youth.
Assist with events throughout the year by helping with setup, check-in, guest engagement, and/or event logistics. Your team's support helps create welcoming, well-run experiences for young people and the broader community.
Accompany our outreach team as they connect with young people experiencing homelessness in the community. Corporate groups help distribute supplies and share information about available resources in a respectful, supportive way.
Share your knowledge by leading workshops on topics like budgeting, job readiness, wellness, or other practical skills. These sessions help equip young people with tools for greater independence.
You and your coworkers can provide behind-the-scenes assistance with tasks like data entry, organizing materials, or office projects. This support helps staff stay focused on direct services for youth.
Make a lasting impact by teaching job readiness and career skills to our youth! Host a class on practical skills such as résumé building, interview preparation, employment applications, “Dress for Success,” and more. Best for 5-10 volunteers. Schedule of available opportunities: Tuesday – Thursday, from 11am-12pm or 7-8pm
Another idea? Conduct a panel presentation with your team. Share information about your organization and how you got to where you are today. Topics can include the hurdles you had to overcome, what you like best about your job, what you wish you knew when you were starting out, and more! Best for 3-8 volunteers. Schedule of available opportunities: Tuesday or Thursday from 11am-12pm.
Volunteer together as a team to help make Covenant House Georgia a “home” for the youth who reside in our crisis shelter. Projects can include cooking a meal, landscaping, gardening, painting and decorating dorm rooms, or simply throwing a party for our young people. Let us tailor your service day to create a memorable experience!
Extend your impact by hosting a donation drive at work to collect much-needed items for Covenant House Georgia. Rally your network to gather essentials like hygiene products, clothing, or household supplies, helping ensure young people have access to the basics they need. Please coordinate ahead of time with our team to ensure you are collecting currently-needed items.
When you are on Covenant House Georgia's campus, you are entering the home of the young people we serve. We ask that all volunteers help us maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment by being mindful of your language and behavior. This includes refraining from cursing or saying anything that could be offensive. Please also wear attire that is appropriate for your volunteer activity (for example, work clothes and sneakers for campus beautification projects).

Due to HIPAA Laws and our Confidentiality Policy, all volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you can still get involved by holding a drive for urgently needed items to help our youth succeed in the next steps of their journey toward productive adulthood.

For youth transitioning into our on-campus Gift of Hope apartments transitional living program or who we assist in getting their first apartments off campus through our Rapid Rehousing Program.

For items that we need around campus to help with organization, functionality, etc., as well as items needed to help care for our on-campus cat, Lucky, and the 9 chickens we have on campus.
