Thank you for your interest in joining Covenant House Georgia’s Covey Guild! This community of women supports young people experiencing homelessness through volunteer service, special events, advocacy, and meaningful connection. Whether you’re looking to give back regularly or get involved in select opportunities throughout the year, there are many ways to make an impact alongside other passionate women in the community.
Being part of the Covey Guild women's group is a meaningful way to support Covenant House Georgia’s mission while building community and creating opportunities for young people to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. This is a dues-based group that focuses on supporting special events for the young people at Covenant House Georgia.
Celebrate our young people each month with a special birthday gathering filled with cake, decorations, gifts, and community. Covey Guild volunteers help plan these events, making every young person feel recognized and celebrated on their special day.
Assemble care kits filled with everyday essentials and thoughtful items for young people at Covenant House Georgia. These kits provide practical support while reminding youth that their community cares about them.
The Covey Guild creates a memorable, magical prom experience for our young people each June by leading the event planning, setup, decorations, guest support, and activities throughout the evening.
Spread holiday cheer throughout the season by assisting with festive events, decorating, gift wrapping, meals, and other seasonal activities. Volunteers help create meaningful moments of comfort, joy, and connection for the young people in our care.
Share holiday cheer by assisting with Holiday Fest activities, gift organization and wrapping, event setup, and creating a warm, festive environment for youth and families.
When you are on Covenant House Georgia's campus, you are entering the home of the young people we serve. We ask that all volunteers help us maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment by being mindful of your language and behavior. This includes refraining from cursing or saying anything that could be offensive. Please also wear attire that is appropriate for your volunteer activity (for example, work clothes and sneakers for campus beautification projects).
Thank you for sharing your time with us! If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at: chgavolunteer@covenanthouse.org
Due to HIPAA Laws and our Confidentiality Policy, all volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you can still get involved by holding a drive for urgently needed items to help our youth succeed in the next steps of their journey toward productive adulthood.
Please contact our Volunteer Team at chgavolunteer@covenanthouse.org before hosting a drive or creating outreach kits to determine our current needs.
Covenant House Georgia also gratefully accepts in-kind donations of critical items to support the needs of our programs and our young people. Make a donation easily from the comfort of your home via our Amazon Wish Lists. Below a list of our current Wish Lists and what they support:
For youth transitioning into our on-campus Gift of Hope apartments transitional living program or who we assist in getting their first apartments off campus through our Rapid Rehousing Program.
For our youth in the PJ Garcia Center Crisis Shelter who reach their case management goals.
For items that we need around campus to help with organization, functionality, etc., as well as items needed to help care for our on-campus cat, Lucky, and the 9 chickens we have on campus.
Basic necessities that are always needed year-round to ensure our youths' needs are met.
