Take A Step Outside And Help Youth Overcoming Homelessness Take Steps to Stability!
Steps to Stability is a week-long challenge to log 50,000+ steps in support of youth overcoming homelessness at Covenant House.
Why 50,000?
Young people overcoming homelessness spend an average of 50 nights at Covenant House, and their paths to independence don't follow a straight line. As you log your steps, you can follow along with just a few of these journeys, unlocking a new story at each 5,000 step milestone.
How Does It Help?
When you sign up, you can create a fundraising page to let friends and family know about your step challenge. Funds raised go directly to programs at Covenant House Georgia providing food, shelter, clothing, healthcare, education, workforce development, and loving care to youth facing homelessness.
Who Can Join?
Anyone, anywhere! Run or walk at your own pace on a treadmill, around your house, or through your neighborhood over the week. Track your steps on a fundraising page or using our app, working towards your goal or a shared family or team goal. And connect with a national community online or a virtual meet-up (a different event will be held each night of the challenge!).
When Is It?
June 7-12, 2021, to kick off Pride Month! LGBTQ+ youth are 120% more likely to experience homelessness than their peers. Throughout the week, we will hear from these youth, learn more about their steps to stability, and celebrate each of their unique journeys through stories and nightly events.
